![]() BASTING takes the form of parallel stitching lines approximately four inches apart, with ½ inch long stitches for easy removal. If you enjoy traditional hand quilting, we can save you the pinning time by basting your top, batting, and backing together to stabilize it for $12 per hour. EDGE to EDGE quilting is the most basic and least costly choice for quilting your top. You choose from a number of available continuous line designs, sometimes referred to as pantographs, which are sewn across the entire length or width of the quilt in evenly spaced rows to create a quilt sandwich. This service is $10 to $15 per square yard. |

CUSTOM QUILTING may include outlining, stippling, meandering, borders, sashes, and block designs, and is $12 to $25 per square yard. BINDING finishes the raw edges of your quilt by machine sewing a strip of material to the quilt top, wrapping it around the edge, and hand whipping or machine stitching it to the back. Catherine will bind your quilt for 16¢ per inch. WHEN USING YOUR OWN FABRIC, measure backing and batting to make sure that they are a total of six inches wider and longer than your top - three inches each on the top, bottom, and sides. Quiltprint is located in Iowa. Contact us with shipping information before sending your quilt. PREPARING A TOP FOR LONG ARM MACHINE QUILTING
